Main thing for Instagram is to align your goals with the platform. Today, we will let you understand how to align business goals with Instagram marketing.
Let’s get started!
Allign your goals with Instagram - Example N1
We have to start with an example. So, you are a small beauty salon in a residential area and you already have your own customer base. Then the question is - what are the goals of your Instagram account? What kind of results do you want to get?
If the answer is a demonstration of work, then the content strategy of the page should be as follows:
a large number of posts on /before-after/ results
description of the procedures performed;
phased acquaintance with the staff;
advantageous offers ("discount only this week" or "sign up for the first procedure and get a 10% discount");
Allign your goals with Instagram - Example N2
If the purpose of your account is a portfolio of works, and not a set of new audiences and clients, then you don’t need promotions, discounts, and the publication of entertainment content. It doesn't fit with your business goals. This is a waste of your time that no one will really react to.
But if you are a network of beauty salons, you have a customer base, but there is an opportunity to increase sales of services, there is a goal of selling a franchise, you should post these type of content:
examples of "before/after" work (since they serve the function of attracting new clients) with a detailed description of the initial situation (for example, the client had multi-stage hair lightening, which led to loss of quality) and an extensive demonstration of the result after your work (this is proof of effectiveness your services);
attracting a new audience through various promotion channels: advertising, tik-tok, YouTube, and so on;
informational and engaging content to keep a new audience active and involved (posts on home care to maintain the result of your procedures, various check-lists "what to take on the road/on vacation" or "checklist for hand skin care in winter") ;
the presence of personality in the stories and account - this creates an effect of trust, since the new client is already "familiar" with the administrator / owner of the salon and when signing up for a service / commenting on your posts, the thought flashes in his head: "I know you, I am familiar with your brand" .
